Trump’s latest move to sanction Russia’s oil industry needs to be welcomed. This may lead to higher oil prices and other economic impacts in the short term, but it’s the brave Ukrainians who keep paying the ultimate price with every day that Putin pursues his imperial ambitions. Absolutely everything that can be done must be done to increase pressure on Russia to bring this brutal war in Ukraine to an end as quickly as possible - there's still more to be done. Hopefully, Trump will now follow up with more of the weapons Ukraine needs (paid for by Europeans allies or, better yet, from funds seized from Russia). The Ukrainians deserve our continued support.
