@thomholwerda same thing with certain linux distro called Fedora btw. I wonder why distro owned and mostly operated by pro-slop corpo is pro-slop.

@thomholwerda nothing new. I'm not talking about Luinus only.
It is true that must of the major Open Source developments are "open" because their main developers though that it is the best way to get contributions (free workers).
There is not altruism at all in a lot of cases.
Open and Free software stands for allowing users to exercise their personal freedom. So users have to choose how to use it, for the common good or for their own.
Ideology in free software simply ambiguous IMHO.
I'm not defending Linus. It's just his opinion. I have my own.
