@Scott M. Stolz Crawling all of fediverse servers(one connect to Mastodon, Misskey, etc. is enough to get info of server existance), checking if it has proper record in /siteinfo/json, adding to DB. I tried to check periodically fediverse.observer but my script was quicker than my manual check.
Of course there are servers which have special settings and API is not readable(not only Hubzilla), so my stats are not perfect and never will. But cannot do much about it. 🤷‍♂️

@Martin Kostera In the case of Hubzilla, does that mean we need to have the Diaspora Statistics (misnomer) addon enabled? My understanding is that this addon creates the record needed for statistics to be harvested.

@Scott M. Stolz I don't think so. Diaspora stats is about "nodeinfo". So when I switch on this addon, I can see also
#^https://libera.site/nodeinfo/2.0
I suppose "siteinfo/json is from diff addon or from core. I really don't know.
